VERSION
This fantastic
2026 Brezoi Blues Festival, set in the heart of Romania
in the southern Carpathians, will remain a memorable
experience for me in more ways than one!

An exceptional lineup, featuring
an international roster that brings together headliners
from the United States, the United Kingdom, and across
Europesome of the most prominent figures on
todays blues scene.
A seven-day immersive experience, built around three
stages, non-stop concerts, late-night jam sessions, and a
campsite that fosters a sense of togetherness between
artists and festival-goers.
A spectacular natural setting, in the heart of the Lotru
Valley in the Romanian Carpathians, which also makes the
festival a true tourist destination.
A loyal, international community (#BrezoiulLumii), with a growing number of foreign
visitors who return each year for the warm,
family-friendly atmosphere.
A strong cultural identity, bolstered in 2026 by the
launch of BrezArt, which transforms the entire city into
an art gallery during the festival, extending the
experience well beyond music.
Strong support for the Romanian scene, thanks to a
national blues competition that kicks off the festival,
providing a showcase for local talent before the major
headliners take the stage.
  I
would like to extend a special thank you and
congratulationsfor their exemplary work, top-tier
hospitality, unfailing friendliness, diverse skill set,
and constant dedicationto:
Mihai Razvan Mugescu, the festival director, who
has admirably steered the artistic programming and the
development of the event since its inception, with the
support of the Brezoi town hall. I also extend my warm
thanks to him for the trust he has placed in me by
inviting me to serve as a jury member for the National
Romanian Blues Contest.
Bitza, responsible for welcoming and
supporting artists, coordinating between technical teams,
security, and production, managing day-to-day logistics
on-site, and resolving unforeseen issues during the
festival.
Robert
Schell, the mayor of Brezoi, who from the very
beginning in 2017 placed his trust in a top-notch team
anddriven by his love for cultural initiatives
within his cityprovided them with the means to
realize their ambitions.
Kaz Hawkins, a globally recognized
artist, she was wholeheartedly involved in the
festivals organization, contributing her passion
and constant, hands-on effort: she helped coordinate a
massive tribute concert for Gary Moore, conducted on-air
television interviews with fellow artists, introduced
each performer on the Main Stage, captured
footageincluding spontaneous interviews with
festival-goers and participantsand maintained a
warm, ever-present connection with her many fans.
Constantin
Cézar Tita, coordinator of the National
Romanian Blues Contest, which brought together 10 bands
from across Romania.
Every volunteer and participant at the Open Air Brezoi
Blues Festivalregardless of their role, whether
musician, security guard, cook, merchandise seller,
secretary, photographer, stagehand, stage manager,
bartender, electrician, sound engineer, driver,
hospitality manager, journalist, videographer, backliner,

technician, accountant, content creator, cleaner,
caterer, ticket agent, or artistic
directorapproaches their task as if contributing a
single stone to a grand structure that everyone pours
their heart into building, both in the lead-up to and
throughout the event. In Brezoi, this collective
dimension takes on an even greater, more profound
significancea wonderful example for other event
organizers to adopt and apply.
